The Frederick Church of the Nazarene supports NMI in its mission to share the gospel of Christ in Frederick, Maryland, the mid-Atlantic region, our nation, and in all the nations. The objectives of NMI are to:
NMI at Frederick First Church is part of a global effort pursuing a variety of efforts.
Resources support our mission, objectives, and what we do. Key methods that we at the Frederick First Church raise and distribute funds in support of NMI include World Evangelism Fund, Faith Promise, and Alabaster Offering:
The World Evangelism Fund fuels the Church of the Nazarene’s mission by combining each person’s and church’s gift together to fund ministries everywhere. Every church is asked to give a portion of their yearly funds for the purpose of making Christlike disciples in the nations. You can learn more at the World Evangelism Fund website.
Faith Promise is way of systematically supporting world evangelism efforts. Rather than waiting to respond to individual appeals as they come along, believers ask the Lord how much they should give to missions over the next year. They then commit to that annual total as a "Faith Promise." Faith Promise thus turns global missions giving into something strategic rather than something sporadic. In practical terms, tithe money runs the local church and its ministries; Faith Promise is a way for us give specifically to missions in order to reach the unreached of the world. Faith Promise giving tangibly expresses our desire that the whole world know the Good News.

What is Alabaster Offering? The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." Alabaster funds help provide land for many Work & Witness projects, and the entire Alabaster Offering goes toward the purchase of land and construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers. As a tradition in Nazarene churches, alabaster offerings are collected twice a year -- in September and February -- through the collection of alabaster boxes. However, you may donate online at any time.
Additionally, donations may be provided in direct support of individual missionaries. Following are some of of the missionaries we support.
