Welcome to Frederick First!

We are a diverse and growing church family committed to loving God, loving our neighbors and each other, and living the new life in Christ Jesus together.

Connect with us!

We as the church are finding other ways to meet together virtually, and in person in limited ways. We invite you to join us for Bible studies, Sunday school, Worship celebrations, and simple conversations about the times in which we live. Whether you're a long-time member, new to our fellowship, or seeking to be part of the family of Christ, we encourage you to reach out to us with questions. We want to to connect with you and minister to you in whatever way we can.

This week...

  • June 3: 2020 at 6:00 p.m.: A time of prayer for our country. Join us in our parking lot for a time of prayer.  Information on joining us online will be provided shortly.
    • Grace and shalom to you.  As followers of Jesus we are watching our country with broken hearts these days. The death of innocent people is a travesty, whether at the hands of law enforcement who are abusing power, or in the aftermath that has followed in rioting and protesting. Those in positions of authority must be held accountable and those who are given power to rule must do so with integrity, or be removed from their positions. We must be cautious about labeling all police officers, taking into consideration those who are doing their work with integrity and with a heart for the communities they serve. We have certainly seen those who are kneeling with protesters and handling themselves with self-control as we have watched over the past several days. As God's Church we are called to "act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God." The Contemporary English Version states, "See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God. "

Would you spend tomorrow in prayer and fasting and conclude your day with other believers in a season of corporate prayer for revival and reconciliation and renewal and peace/shalom? We need Jesus more than ever in our society, and I believe the church should play a vital role in bringing about justice and reconciliation. I am waiting for information from the leaders of the Frederick Ministerial Fellowship to see how the larger Church of Frederick is going to band together in these days for the good of our city and county and to represent God's Kingdom and His Church well and with oneness in these days filled with strife and mistrust.
      Pastor Rob Merki
